Education

When it comes to schooling in the Dominican Republic, it gets a little complicated for Haitians.

We started our Learning Centers because many of our church members were desiring their children to learn. They were being turned away from the Dominican schools because the children either did not have proper paperwork or did not know enough Spanish to be accepted.

The leaders of our churches saw the need and began the work to accept children from the streets. So many children were just running the streets as there was no place for them to go during the day. Many kids are now receiving an education which will prepare them to be accepted into the Dominican schools when they reach the high school level. We have been able to see the impact these learning centers have on our families, churches, and communities.
