About Us

 In 2013, Wilbert and Lisa Romain made the brave choice to follow the Lord by leaving an organization to start their own.

While living in the Dominican Republic, they saw the deep need to share Jesus with the Haitians who had come across the border. Lafwa, now Lafwa Ministries, was established in 2015. Wilbert and Lisa chose to step out of the boat and trust Jesus just as Peter did. They did not know what the future would be but following Jesus in His leading is something they just had to do. Lafwa Ministries continues to grow and expand in many areas of ministry.

We believe that we are all sinners and so we are daily in need of what Jesus has to offer. By His death on the cross and shedding his precious blood we are saved. We use His word to guide and direct our path and teaching in our churches. Jesus gives his love so deeply and simply. Just repent and accept him and eternal life is yours.

Lafwa Ministries supports three churches: HDC, Mira Flor 2, and Pontezuela. All three churches have dedicated pastors and leaders to keep accountability and direction clear. HDC and Mira Flor 2 also have nutrition programs as well as learning centers as part of their community outreach
